Pho or rice noodle with soup is a traditional food and also know as the best dish of Vietnamese cuisine. Original is include a bowl of rice noodle with broth and serve with beef or chicken, depend on personal taste. Pho, actually is not the food but rice noodle only. In Vietnam, people call the noodle with soup “Pho nuoc”, and there are some different way to eat pho for example mixed noodle, rolling “pho”, fried noodle e.g.
Though noodle is eaten whole day thanks for its tasty and convenient, at the beginning it was made to be food for breakfast. In Southern provinces and cities, noodle is served with many kind of herb for example onions, bean sprouts, coriander, basil and specially culantro while in Hanoi, people prefer authentic flavor of the broth and don’t put any herbs into the bowl.

In 2016, Japanese people had chosen 4th April as “Day of Pho” in Japan. Number 4 in English pronoun like the name of the food in Vietnamese and make it easier to remember.
Meanwhile in Vietnam, Tuoi Tre Newspaper and Acecook Vietnam held the first Pho Festival on 12th December 2017, an annual tourism event since 2018.0
